Anti-wrinkle injections are made of Botulinum toxin (botox), which blocks the signals that cause the targeted muscles to contract. Our Aesthetic expert, Jaque, carefully selects the injections sites according to your needs, ensuring the muscles which are causing the development of lines and wrinkles are ‘frozen’, which in turn stops the deepening of existing lines and restores a smoother complexion.
Wrinkles develop differently in each person, but the most common treatment areas are:
- The forehead/brow (horizonal forehead lines)
- Between the eyes (frown lines, also known as ‘11s’)
- The sides of the eyes (crows’ feet)
Botox is effective for 3-4 months in most clients, requiring touch-up treatments to maintain results.
We use ultra-thin needles so there is no pain associated with the treatment, but if you are concerned about discomfort, we can apply a topical numbing cream to the skin before beginning treatment.
Results take a few days to show, and will continue to improve for around 14 days, at which point optimal results will be visible.
